The next logical step is to input basic birth data. I will use Buddy Holly as my example, but this will work for anyone.

1. Select \u201cCategories\u201d in the top right of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Select \u201c+\u201d at the very bottom of that screen then double click on the strip which emerges. I named this category \u201cBirth Data\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Select \u201c+\u201d in the middle of your screen. This will allow you to input data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Enter first and last names in their fields<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Date is recorded in DD\/MM\/YYYY format and time is recorded in \nam\/pm format. Each section of the \u201cDate and Time\u201d window is highlighted \nin turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Enter the town \u201cLubbock\u201d in the search field for the atlas and click on the correct entry when you see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data for Ritchie Valens was entered in the \u201cBirth Data\u201d category \nsimply by selecting the \u201c+\u201d symbol then entering the data as above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Categories is new in Kairon 4, but allows you to group like charts together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cCategory\u201d in Kairon4 operates like the \u201cfile name\u201d in Kairon 3 \nand multiple charts can be saved in the familiar Kairon 3 format using \nthe \u201cexport AAF\u201d option from the file menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
